Production on this final run, with six episodes in total, has already begun in Serbia, which doubles for Victorian London’s foggy streets and shadowy back alleys.

Kate Phillips returns as Eliza Scarlet, with Tom Durant‑Pritchard back as Alexander Blake, joined once again by Paul Bazely, Tim Chipping, Evan McCabe, Felix Scott, Cordelia Bugeja, and Ansu Kabia.

In a video shared on Masterpiece’s platforms, Phillips and Durant‑Pritchard told fans they were thrilled to be returning but confirmed the bittersweet news that this seventh season will bring the story to a close, promising they would “go out with a bang.”
