Renewed: The Marlow Murder Club Season 4 – Judith, Suzie & Becks Are Coming Back In 2027!
The world’s most charming murder club isn’t hanging up its magnifying glasses just yet: The Marlow Murder Club has officially been renewed for a fourth season on UKTV’s U and U&Drama.
Filming is set to begin in summer 2026, and for cozy crime fans, that means more murders by the Thames, more village scandals, and many more delightfully nosy questions from Judith Potts and her partners in sleuthing.
The renewal was announced ahead of the UK broadcast of season 3, a strong sign of confidence in the show’s ratings and its growing word‑of‑mouth following.
The Marlow Murder Club season 4 will once again air on U and U&Drama in the UK, with international partners like PBS Masterpiece expected to follow, as they have with previous seasons.
What The Marlow Murder Club Season 4 Might Bring
This is how the show has played out so far. The first season was based entirely on Robert Thorogood’s novel, The Marlow Murder Club, and the story played out over four episodes.
It was a huge success and was renewed quickly, this time for six episodes covering three distinct mysteries, the first of which was based on Thorogood’s next novel in the series, Death Comes to Marlow.
The second two mysteries were brand-new and written by Lucy Haines, Julia Gilbert, and Thorogood.
That same format was also applied to season 3 where the first story covered The Queen of Poisons, (adapted by Daniel Rusteau) and this time it was Amy Reith and Julia Gilbert who took on the writing duties for the other four episodes.
Official plot details for season 4 are under wraps, but I’m going to go out on a limb and guess that the first two episodes will adapt Murder on the Marlow Belle.
After that, the stories will be brand new and, so far, have been kept under wraps, as filming is due to begin very soon.
Character‑wise, viewers can expect further development for Tanika as a senior officer, now fully aware that keeping Judith, Suzie, and Becks away from a crime scene is almost impossible.
There is also room to deepen the personal lives of the trio with Suzie’s money troubles and romances, Becks’s evolving identity beyond the vicarage, and Judith’s tentative emotional connections, including the ongoing presence of Professor Gifford.
When Will It Air?
New episodes first air in the UK, generally around March each year. Season 3 dropped on March 6th, 2026.
Fans in the US have to wait a bit longer, six months in fact, so mark September 6th, 2026, in the diary because that is when season 3 comes to PBS Masterpiece.
The good news is that The Marlow Murder Club season 4 is likely to follow that same pattern, so in the UK it will be on U&Alibi in March 2027, followed by the US six months later.
And, just in case you are wondering, the show does not air on Netflix!
Core Cast and Characters
The series is anchored by Samantha Bond as Judith Potts, all sharp wit, colorful scarves, and a mind that never stops looking for patterns, whether in crosswords or crime scenes.
Jo Martin brings huge warmth and humor to Suzie Harris, whose blunt honesty and hustling side‑gigs are often the key to getting information no one would dare tell the police.
Cara Horgan rounds out the trio as Becks Starling, who starts as a seemingly conventional vicar’s wife but gradually reveals steel, ambition, and a knack for spotting the social undercurrents of Marlow society.
Natalie Dew plays DI Tanika Malik, whose promotion and career progression become an important thread as the seasons unfold.
Around them, we have met a recurring ensemble of police colleagues, suspects, neighbors, and love interests, including Hugh Quarshie’s Professor Gifford in later seasons.
