10 New Cozy Mysteries Getting Published In June 2026! The Next Big Whodunnits
Last Updated on August 6, 2026
Every month, I sit down and put together a list of what I think will be great whodunnits getting published in the following month.
Often, this can be tricky enough because, despite the vast quantity of books getting released, some months, actual cozy mysteries can be thin on the ground.
Not so for June 2026, when I almost had the opposite problem and had to whittle my list down! That’s great news for all of us fans, and it means that we are in for a real treat.
If you’re wondering how I chose the ten books for June 2026, well, I have two of them on my TBR list, and by that I mean on my Kindle and ready to read, and four more are by authors whose books I’ve read and enjoyed before.
So, if you fancy getting an update on what is coming your way in June 2026, then read on…

A Ghost Hunter’s Guide to Catching a Killer by F.H. Petford

Publish date: June 4th
Having previously read A Ghost Hunter’s Guide to Solving a Murder, I debated over adding A Ghost Hunter’s Guide to Catching a Killer only because the first book strayed from the premise and ended up being entirely different from how I imagined.
Rest assured, though, this book is better, and the characters are more developed, which is always a bonus.
It’s August 1915, and we’re back with Alma Timperley again as she finally settles in bustling Falmouth with her fiancé Alan, running the extraordinary Timperley Spiritualist Hotel.
With grief‑stricken families desperate to contact loved ones lost to the war, Alma’s séance rooms are busier than ever.
But when a guest is discovered dead in their bed, the hotel’s ghostly whispers are overshadowed by the very real threat of murder.
The police suspect foul play and, knowing her sharp eye and uncanny intuition, recruit Alma to help. To unmask a killer hiding in her own corridors, she must solve the case before she becomes the next victim.
The Fish and Chip Shop Detectives and the Campervan Murder by Jenny Kane

It’s been a hectic summer at Robbins’ Fish and Chip Shop, and Maggie and Ryan are once again dragged into danger – hook, line, and sinker.
The usually tranquil streets of Mousehole are rocked when a local villager is found dead, and the pair quickly realizes this is no ordinary tragedy.
Their enigmatic boss, Mr. Robbins, has vanished, his campervan home left unlocked and ransacked. As rumors fly faster than orders of battered cod, they’ll need all their wits to catch a killer.
Bad Deeds by Andrew Hunter Murray

Publish date: June 11th
Bad Deeds is a witty and heartfelt thriller that follows a man whose life falls apart in a single evening, and all his attempts to fix it just make everything worse!
Alex used to be a burglar; now he breaks into houses for a living – legally. As part of a tiny security consultancy, he’s paid handsomely to test locks, alarms, and protocols, and for once it feels like he’s finally grown up.
That illusion shatters in one night when he’s fired, evicted, and dumped. Desperate, Alex secretly poaches a job his firm has already turned down. Huge mistake.
Soon, he’s in remote northern Scotland, investigating the supposed accidental death of an ambitious young man who fell from a cliff.
However, the more Alex digs, the more likely that he could be next over the edge.
The Case Of The Two-Faced Killer by Mithran Somasundrum

June 16th
Vijay Mistry swapped his Bristol council desk job for the chaos and color of Bangkok, splitting his time between translation work and the odd bit of amateur sleuthing.
He loves a puzzle, but his latest case is anything but straightforward. Respected English antiques dealer Arthur Cavendish has plunged from the balcony of his luxury apartment.
With a locked room, no forced entry, and no sign of a struggle, the police ruled it a suicide.
Vijay initially agrees, taking a look as a favor, until the trail leads from glittering society parties to Bangkok’s shadows, and a second shocking death proves this case is anything but simple.
The Defence by Rob Rinder

Publish date: June 18th
If you’ve read any of the books in the Adam Green series (three so far, and this is the fourth), you’ll know how incredible they are.
These are more British legal mysteries that follow a young Barrister, Adam, as he tries to defend his clients.
At MP‑turned‑wellness‑guru Adrian Wells’s glitzy launch for his “age‑reversing” bath salts, the spectacle turns deadly.
As Adrian sinks into a showpiece copper tub in front of a sea of influencers, it quickly becomes obvious something is horribly wrong.
The salts have been poisoned, Adrian dies on camera, and his exhausted, long‑suffering assistant, Jules, is swiftly named the prime suspect.
Enter barrister Adam Green, tasked with defending her. As Adam digs into Adrian’s tangled past and toxic relationships, he discovers a long list of people with motives.
To clear Jules, he has to prove the real killer is still at large.

Barclay Flint is the charmingly eccentric owner of The Bottle Bank, a cozy wine shop in a picture‑perfect Sussex town famous for its riotous Bonfire Night celebrations.
He can read a whole universe in a single glass and takes pride in pairing every customer with their perfect bottle.
But when his friend, cash‑strapped regenerative vineyard owner Victor Crawshaw, is found dead, Barclay suddenly becomes the police’s favorite suspect.

At their hotel, a frantic husband reports bestselling crime author Karen Squires missing; soon afterward, her body is found on the beach below a broken clifftop safety fence.
Police dismiss it as a tragic accident, yet Karen’s immaculate manicure convinces Martin she was pushed.
With suspects among Karen’s writing‑retreat students and inner circle, the duo must again separate fact from fiction before another guest dies.
The Case of the Christie Wedding Affair by Kelly Oliver

Publish date: June 24th
I have just read The Case of the Christie Curse, and The Case of the Christie Wedding Affair is the fourth book in Kelly Oliver’s series.
This time around, we are back in the UK, in 1930s Scotland, where Agatha Christie has gathered members of the Detection Club on the Isle of Skye for her wedding.
Instead, Lord Blackwood, head of a nearby hunting party, vanishes on the moors and strange incidents mount: a mysterious churchyard grave, a missing rifle, and furtive midnight journeys across the island.
Eliza Baker, sharp‑eyed assistant to the Club’s secretary, Dorothy Sayers, suspects murder despite the absence of a body.
As storms cut them off from the mainland, Eliza and Theo must expose a killer roaming the stalking grounds.
The Cornish Honeymoon Murder by Fiona Leitch

Publish date: June 26th
I absolutely love this series of books and have read every single one of them (this is book 10), and as long as Fiona Leitch keeps writing Jodie Parker mysteries, I’ll keep reading them!
Jodie Parker and DCI Nathan Withers have finally tied the knot and head to a luxurious eco‑resort on a remote Cornish island for their honeymoon – and an undercover job.
The owner has hired them to quietly investigate a wave of sabotage, just as Jodie’s mum Shirley, daughter Daisy, and dog Germaine invite themselves along.

With a killer in close quarters, Jodie and Nathan must crack the case before their honeymoon ends in tragedy.
